Countyizz becomes the county layer of the shared geography
The county entry point now reads the one governed geography instead of a county database of its own — and reports only what a visitor can actually reach.
What changed?
- Countyizz was rebuilt as an identity and an entry point over the shared geography and published content, with no county database, no county-name reference list, no second search and no content store of its own.
- The previous standalone site's invented figures were removed, including its claim of 3,142 counties and 573 businesses in Duluth, along with places that do not exist in this system.
- Four measurements are kept separate and derived at request time: counties held as reference names, counties that exist as governed places, counties with published information, and counties with published business records.
Why does it matter?
National architecture is not national deployment. Countyizz can describe the whole country structurally while showing only the counties that genuinely exist and only the content genuinely published in them.
What's live now?
- Choose a state, choose a county, explore it, signed out on desktop and mobile.
- Minnesota → St. Louis County → Duluth and Hermantown, and Minnesota → Olmsted County → Rochester.
- Counties with nothing published say so plainly rather than being filled in.
What's next?
- Expanding the geography beyond the counties that exist today is a separate future project and is not part of this work.
